Jen is a seasoned traveler and adventurer. She recently hugged a tiger and kissed an elephant after hiking the jungles of Thailand. Despite her travels, she boasts an absurdly large personal library, and can’t bear to part with a single text (even the multiple copies).

With several writing projects underway at the moment, including a collection of poetry, two poetry chapbooks, a young adult novel, some new adult fiction, many critical works, and a collection of poetry translation, Jen’s writing life is ridiculously full– and that’s exactly how she likes it. She recently founded Fire Tetrahedron: Journal of Poetry & Art. For ordering and submission information, check out

Jen lives in Ohio, where she directs a university writing center and teaches courses on writing.
